Kimble Hospital is excited to announce the commitment of Doctor Gregory Sattler, MD and his wife Amanda Sattler, PA-C to our provider team. Please help us welcome them in the upcoming months as they seek to establish their medical practice in our community.
Dr. Gregory Sattler grew up in Bridge City, Texas, near the Texas-Louisiana border. After graduating from Bridge City High School, he pursued Biology and Chemistry at Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, where he met Amanda. The couple married after finishing their degrees and moved to Houston where Gregory attended McGovern Medical School earning his Doctor of Medicine.
Currently, Gregory is completing his final year of family medicine residency in Waco, TX obtaining his board-certification at the same program attended by Dr. Jay Jackson. Upon conclusion of his residency training next year, Dr. Sattler will focus on establishing his practice at Kimble Hospital and associated medical clinics in the fall of 2025. Gregory is excited to establish permanent roots in Junction, not far from his family’s ranch in Doss, TX. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Born in Arlington, Texas, Amanda grew up in small towns across the state, eventually graduating from Wellington High School in the Texas panhandle. She pursued her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Southern Nazarene University. While Gregory was in medical school, Amanda earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from UTHSC, discovering her passion for medically underserved communities. She then became a Physician Assistant at UTMB in Galveston, TX, and has since worked in Cardiology in Waco, TX.
Eager to return to her small-town roots, Amanda has already started her practice as a Physician Assistant in a part-time capacity and is accepting patients at both the Junction and Rocksprings clinics. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, reading, hiking, and painting.
“We are thrilled to welcome both Amanda and Gregory Sattler to our community,” said Susan Parker, Administrator of Kimble Hospital. “Their dedication to providing quality healthcare, especially in rural and medically underserved areas, aligns perfectly with our mission. Amanda’s expertise and compassionate approach will be invaluable to our patients, and we look forward to Gregory joining us soon.”

The Junction Medical Clinic location in Rocksprings will offer a variety of services to improve the health of the local community. Importantly, with the continued Public Health Emergency (PHE), increased access to Covid-19 testing, treatment and vaccination will be an important focus of the clinic.
“We are proud to partner with Edwards County in their vision to secure access to local health care,” says Duke Young, administrator at Kimble Hospital. “The County Judge and Commissioners have shown overwhelming support to make this clinic possible at a pivotal moment when localized care to residents is so important.”
In addition to Covid-19 related care, wellness visits, immunizations and chronic disease management for conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are all common practice for a family medicine clinic practice. These are an important part of diagnosing and treating emerging medical conditions before serious illness sets in.
Jay Jackson, M.D. is one of four medical providers that will be travelling to Rocksprings. “We have always talked about the importance of visiting a medical provider, even when you aren’t sick. Regular visits allow us to diagnose and treat health issues before they become serious. I hope our presence in Rocksprings will make it easier for people who live in the area to stay on top of their health.”
Jared Chanski, Executive Vice President of Preferred Management, the company that manages Junction Medical Clinic added, “We are proud to extend our excellent medical services and physician oversight to the town of Rocksprings. Junction has benefited greatly from the wonderful care our medical professionals have provided and I’m sure Rocksprings and Edwards County will enjoy having medical care close to home again.”
Rocksprings Medical Clinic will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm and Fridays from 9am to 3pm. The clinic accepts most medical insurance including Medicare. To schedule an appointment please call (325) 446-3305.
